Job summary

ARISE-Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional in Camillus, NY. The role involves assisting a 41-year-old client with budgeting, community activities, household tasks, meals, shopping, and parenting-skill coaching.

Hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. A New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; no experience is necessary though preferred. Travel to various locations will be part of the job.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Experience with people with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with money management and budgeting, helping the client stay engaged in the community and with daily tasks.
• Provide verbal and physical support with household tasks, meals, and shopping, and help with learning parenting skills.
• Travel to different locations as needed to support services and activities.
