Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC in Fayetteville, NY seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist a 27-year-old client in social, recreational, and daily activities in the community.

You will help with arts and crafts, outings to local venues, and stimulating activities. A valid NY driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work 12pm–3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

Responsibilities

• Support a 27-year-old individual in Fayetteville NY with social, recreational, and daily activities.
• Assist with arts and crafts, outings, and community activities such as zoo, museum, YMCA, bowling and more.
• Be outgoing, crafty, and willing to visit community attractions that involve active participation.
