Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC in Syracuse, NY is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional for 1:1 support with a young man who has a developmental disability. This per diem role involves working on Mondays and Wednesdays with potential other days, starting at $20 per hour and mileage reimbursement.

You will help with independent living skills, accompany him to community activities, and rely on your communication, reliability, and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a young man with a developmental disability in Syracuse.
• Assist with independent living skills and accompany him to community activities.
• Communicate effectively, be compassionate and reliable.
• Follow program policies; background check, fingerprinting, and DMV checks will be completed.
