Job summary

St. Joseph's Villa is seeking 1:1 Counselors to work with students at The Dooley School, under the Principal's supervision. You will support children facing behavioral and emotional challenges, and may be placed at one of our academies or a local public school.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of life skills counseling techniques for children with behavioral and emotional challenges.
• Ability to implement supplemental programs for students aged 2–22.
• Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and appropriate intervention methods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sight and sound supervision of students.
• Assist teachers with academics and IEP implementation.
• Develop adult/child relationships to facilitate learning social and life skills.
• May administer medications per program procedures.
• Maintain documentation (incident reports, behavior plans, progress charts).
• Transport students to activities as directed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
