Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC seeks a 1:1 Instructional Aide at Columbus Humanities Arts & Technology Academy in Columbus, Ohio. The role supports teachers with classroom activities, promotes positive student behavior, and helps maintain a safe and constructive school climate.

Under School Leader and Teacher supervision, you will assist with lessons, plan classroom activities, supervise events, and perform clerical tasks while supporting the school’s mission and policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the passage of the Paraprofessional’s Exam
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows instructional plans
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports the Teacher in student and parent relations
• Assists with school activities (events, meetings, chaperoning) and performs clerical duties
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology
• Maintains cleanliness of classroom and common areas
• Adheres to school philosophy and mission in all activities
• Performs other duties including field trips and duty coverage
