Job summary

Columbus Humanities Arts & Technology Academy (CHATA) in Columbus, Ohio, part of the ACCEL Schools network, is hiring a 1:1 Instructional Aide. You will support teachers in K-8 classrooms, promote positive student behavior, and assist with activities, events, and basic clerical tasks while complying with school policies and state regulations.

Requirements include an associate degree or equivalent, MS Office proficiency, a successful background check, and strong written/verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework, or Paraprofessional’s Exam completed.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.
• BCI/FBI background check completed successfully.
• Ability to meet educational standards and deadlines consistently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities and follow instructional plans.
• Support teacher and promote positive student behavior during academics and activities.
• Help plan classroom activities and assist with student/parent relations.
• Perform clerical duties such as grading papers and copying.
• Support use of classroom technology and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned, including field trips and duty coverage.
