Job summary

The Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is seeking a Full-Time Personal Care Assistant / 1:1 Paraeducator (School Age) to provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support for a student per the IEP, under the guidance of the classroom teacher and program supervisor.

Work hours are 9:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, 185 days per year. Role requires CPI/SCM/QBS safety training, and you must meet PA PDE education and qualification requirements with ongoing 20 hours of staff development annually.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Must meet PDE qualifications within 6 months (Credential of Competency, 2-year higher education, associate degree, or approved assessment).
• Provide 20 hours of staff development annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support per IEP.
• Work under supervision of classroom teacher and program supervisor.
• Lift and assist students; use CPI/SCM/QBS safety methods as trained.
