Job summary

Bothell High School (Northshore School District) is seeking a 1:1 ATP paraeducator to support adults 18-22 in the Transition Pathways program. Under a certificated special education teacher, you will assist with instruction, behavior development, and life skills in classroom and community settings.

Qualifications include an associate degree or higher (or high school diploma with ParaPro score 455+), CPI training, and a non-exempt salary setup. 6.5 hours/day, 192 days/year; benefits available.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or higher or high school diploma with ParaPro 455+.
• CPI training or equivalent required; training provided on hire.
• Salary based on ESP Salary Schedule; DOE; FLSA non-exempt.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with learning, behavior, daily living and physical development.
• Provide tutoring and help with organization; proctor tests.
• Lead small groups and adapt lessons to student needs.
• Support behavior management and student safety; may assist with restraints as trained.
• Assist with medical needs, toileting, transfers, and feeding under supervision.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and staff; participate in meetings as needed.
• Utilize classroom technology and troubleshoot student computer issues.
• Occasionally ride bus with a student; perform related duties as assigned.
