Job summary

Liberty Elementary School in Scottsdale is seeking a 1:1 ASL interpreter for the 2026-27 school year, working 9 months at 6.5 hours per day.

The Certified Educational Interpreter-Sign Language will provide exact interpretations for students with special needs, one-on-one or in small groups, and support IEP goals under teacher supervision.

Start date: 08/31/2026. Compensation: $20.60/hour. This interim position reports to the classroom teacher and site administrator.

Qualifications

• Interpreting in ASL and Straight-English during instructional time.
• Coordinate with teachers and related service professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous sign language interpretations for students one-on-one or in small groups.
• Adapt activities/materials under supervision to support objectives.
• Report progress and daily activities for IEP goals and logs.
