Job summary

Educational-Service-Center-of-Northeast-Ohi is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Aide in Cleveland, OH. This temporary position supports a designated student with academic instruction and daily activities under a Teacher-Counselor’s guidance.

Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting with outings, and participating in trainings such as CPR, First Aid, and therapeutic interventions. Strong communication skills and experience with autism are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimally high school graduate; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with children with autism and developmental disabilities.
• Experience with behaviorally/emotionally challenged youth preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one aide to a designated student for academic instruction and daily activities.
• Support the instructional program under the guidance of the Teacher-Counselor.
• Assist with class outings and clerical tasks as needed by the Principal.
• Supervise students throughout the day, including lunch and related services.
• Implement Therapeutic Crisis Intervention with fidelity to reduce restraints.
• Prepare materials in advance and participate in trainings and staff meetings.
• Work respectfully with a culturally diverse student population.

Education

High School Diploma (or GED)

Bachelor's degree preferred
