Job summary

BehaviorCare Therapy is seeking a paraprofessional to provide 1:1 ABA therapy in clients' homes in Newark, NJ. This part-time role focuses on afternoon and evening hours to complement school or work schedules.

You will work directly with children on the autism spectrum, implementing play-based ABA strategies designed by a licensed BCBA to build daily living skills, communication, independence, and confidence.

Qualifications

• 1:1 support for children with autism in homes.
• Play-based ABA techniques used under BCBA guidance.
• Experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home ABA therapy to children.
• Support development of daily living, communication, independence and confidence.
• Follow step-by-step treatment plans created by BCBA supervisor.
• Track progress during sessions using a data system on a phone or tablet.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and fellow staff for consistency.
• Provide feedback to families about session progress and wins.
