Job summary

Inteplast Group is hiring for a Shipping Loader C in Pittsburg, KS for the 4pm–12:30am shift. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour on night shifts, plus excellent benefits and paid holidays.

The role focuses on efficiently selecting and retrieving inventory for shipment, preparing orders for palletizing, labeling, and loading, and operating basic warehouse equipment. Training is provided for forklift use.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Legal eligibility to work in the US.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred with knowledge of production processes, quality control, and use of Warehouse Location Management Systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication with all levels.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in the production process.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and adapt to non-standard hours as necessary.
• Capable of managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Complies with monitors and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department.
• Pass all required training to safely operate forklift and load hogs.
• Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures.
• Process work orders, documents number of units handled, interpret verbal instructions to determine tasks, and transmit data for invoicing.
• In charge of promptly and accurately picking customer orders while also preparing them for shipment through pallet addressing, labeling, and wrapping.
• Stages finished product in proper locations within the warehouse or loads the finished product onto the truck.
• Moves freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or by using electric pallet trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Install protective devices to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that the correct products are picked, packed, and prepared for distribution, thereby supporting the smooth operation of the warehouse and meeting customer demands.

Work Environment Conditions Subjected To In This Position

• The warehouse is not climate controlled. Must be able to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.
