Job Title : Assistant Manager
Essential Function
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.
Primary Duties
- Brand (30%): Provides supervision and supports the planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Emphasizes both in-store selling and Omni-channel strategies. Ensures brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, and dress code are met. Acts as the main contact to resolve customer issues and analyzes store trends to anticipate customer demands.
- People (30%): Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results. Recruits actively to build a strong network of candidates. Identifies strengths and opportunities for associates and addresses them through coaching or counseling. Maintains positive relations, resolves concerns, and fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Operations (30%): Ensures execution of company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Utilizes digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment. Manages inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and ensures timely, accurate follow-through on directives and projects.
- Safety / Loss Prevention (10%): Maintains a safe environment for all, enforces policies, protects assets, and ensures compliance with HAZMAT training and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills / Abilities and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Preferred: 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
- Preferred: 1+ year management experience
- Ability to lead/support teams to meet objectives
- Effective communication skills
- Flexible scheduling availability
- Cosmetology license desirable but not required
