Bashas' Bakery is hiring Bakers to execute a variety of tasks in the Bakery department with a focus on food safety, sanitation and exceptional customer service. You will assist in production, merchandising and daily operations across ovens, displays and storage areas.

Responsibilities include mixing, baking, decorating, inventory control, and ensuring accurate pricing and labeling. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mix, weigh, proof, bake, and decorate a wide range of bakery items per Bashas' recipes.
• Load/unload ovens; monitor temperatures and bake times.
• Scale cakes and cupcakes; ice rolls, breads, and cookies.
• Assist in ordering/receiving bakery products and supplies.
• Control inventory and address out-of-stocks and shrink.
• Use scale printer to verify weights and pricing.
• Observe pricing, signage and shelf tag accuracy.
• Maintain clean production and storage areas, including coolers/freezers.
• Wrap, box, weigh, slice, finish, and stock bakery products.
• Support decorators with cake icing and personalization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Our Bakers will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the Bakery department. A Baker has a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation and will be able to help in production and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Mixing, weighing, proofing, baking, frying, decorating, finishing and merchandising quality bakery products using Bashas' recipes.
• Loading and unloading the oven, knowing the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of product,
• Scaling cakes and cupcakes, ice sweet rolls, breads and cookies, etc.
• Assisting in the ordering and receiving of bakery products and supplies.
• Controlling product inventory and out of stocks, shrink and supplies.
• Using scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct.
• Understanding the importance and the monitoring of product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage.
• Keeping a clean, neat and orderly bench, production area, storage area, and walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Helping in the wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.
• Displaying goods following bakery department and/or merchandising guidelines.
• Helping decorators with personalization of cakes and icing of cakes, donuts, sweet rolls and etc.
• All other related duties as assigned
