Raley's in Thatcher, AZ is seeking a dedicated Baker to join our bakery team. You will perform a range of duties from mixing, proofing and baking to decorating and merchandising, while delivering friendly customer service.

The role requires cleanliness, food safety awareness, ability to stand long hours, and ability to load/unload ovens and handle inventory, signs and pricing.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Mix, weigh, proof, bake, decorate and merchandise bakery products.
• Operate oven safely with correct temperatures and bake times.
• Scale cakes and ice rolls; finish breads and cookies.
• Assist with ordering and receiving bakery supplies.
• Control inventory and stock; monitor pricing and signage.
• Maintain clean production and storage areas.
• Assist decorators with cake icing and personalization.
• Wrap, slice, stock bakery items; rotate for freshness.
• Display goods per merchandising guidelines.

Position Purpose

Our Bakers will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the Bakery department. A Baker has a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation and will be able to help in production and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service.

Responsibilities

A Baker is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.

A Baker’s Responsibilities Include

• Mixing, weighing, proofing, baking, frying, decorating, finishing and merchandising quality bakery products using Bashas’ recipes.
• Loading and unloading the oven, knowing the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of product,
• Scaling cakes and cupcakes, ice sweet rolls, breads and cookies, etc.
• Assisting in the ordering and receiving of bakery products and supplies.
• Controlling product inventory and out of stocks, shrink and supplies.
• Using scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct.
• Understanding the importance and the monitoring of product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage.
• Keeping a clean, neat and orderly bench, production area, storage area, and walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Helping in the wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.
• Displaying goods following bakery department and/or merchandising guidelines.
• Helping decorators with personalization of cakes and icing of cakes, donuts, sweet rolls and etc.
• All other related duties as assigned
