Essential Function

Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Primary Duties
  • Brand (30%): Supervise and support associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, and dress code. Act as the main contact for customer issues, analyze store trends, and anticipate customer demands.
  • People (30%): Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit actively, identify strengths and opportunities for associates, and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations, resolve concerns, and promote diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Operations (30%): Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Support digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and ensure compliance with directives.
  • Safety/Loss Prevention (10%): Maintain a safe environment, enforce policies, protect assets, and ensure compliance with safety training and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Preferred: 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
  • Preferred: 1+ year management experience
  • Ability to lead/support teams, communicate effectively, and have flexible scheduling
  • Cosmetology license is desirable but not required
