Job summary

Crafted Staff is seeking an Experienced - Machine Operator II to set up, program, and operate various industrial machines. You will form, cut, bend, size aerospace-quality components from Nickel, Stainless, and Titanium alloys while following drawings and tolerances.

The role requires basic manufacturing knowledge, the ability to read sketches, operate tooling, and perform shop math with good manual dexterity. Training provided for safety conformity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading drawings and manufacturing sketches.
• Familiarity with machine tools and tooling setup.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform shop math.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines to produce quality parts per tolerances.

Pay Rate Range: $ 23.50-$37.10 (depending on experience)

1st shift: 3:30am – 2:00pm or 4:30am- 2:00pm (Mon-Thurs)

2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 1:00am start (Mon-Thurs)

Weekend Shift: 5:00am – 5:30pm (Fri-Sun)

Experienced - Machine Operator II

Uses established processes to set up, program, and operate various types of industrial grade machines to form, cut, bend, size, and/or machine aerospace quality components from Nickel, Stainless, and Titanium alloys.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Operators ensure proper setup of machines to yield quality parts conforming to our customers’ designed tolerances.
• Understand and follow written instructions, sketches, drawings, and documents.
• Use precision measuring instruments to check tolerances and quality of parts.
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered into manufacturing planning and paperless timecard system.
• Work under direct oversight.

Skills, Education and Required Experience

• Basic understanding of manufacturing planning and sketches.
• Know when to stop and ask for clarification.
• Understand proper setup and use of tooling associated with machines.
• Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity.
• Required to perform shop mathematics associated with machining operations.
• High School diploma or equivalent GED required.

Working Conditions

Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, heat reflective body garments and gloves as required.

Physical Requirements

The machine operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.
