Bashas' Bakery in Window Rock, AZ is seeking a friendly Baker to support production, merchandising, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves mixing, weighing, proofing, baking, decorating, stocking, and maintaining clean areas with a strong emphasis on food safety and accurate pricing. You will work with Bashas' recipes and assist in fulfilling daily bakery operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol

Responsibilities

• Mixing, weighing, proofing, baking, decorating, finishing and merchandising quality bakery products following Bashas’ recipes.
• Load and unload ovens and manage baking temperatures and durations for all products.
• Assist in scaling cakes and cupcakes, icing, and finishing bakery items.
• Assist in ordering and receiving bakery supplies.
• Monitor inventory, shrink, and stock levels; manage pricing signage and shelf tags.
• Maintain clean production areas, storage spaces, and walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Wrap, box, weigh, slice, finish, and stock bakery products; rotate items for quality and safety.
• Assist decorators with cake personalization and icing tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Our Bakers will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the Bakery department. A Baker has a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation and will be able to help in production and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service.

Responsibilities:

A Baker is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.

A Baker’s Responsibilities Include

• Mixing, weighing, proofing, baking, frying, decorating, finishing and merchandising quality bakery products using Bashas’ recipes.
• Loading and unloading the oven, knowing the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of product,
• Scaling cakes and cupcakes, ice sweet rolls, breads and cookies, etc.
• Assisting in the ordering and receiving of bakery products and supplies.
• Controlling product inventory and out of stocks, shrink and supplies.
• Using scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct.
• Understanding the importance and the monitoring of product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage.
• Keeping a clean, neat and orderly bench, production area, storage area, and walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Helping in the wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.
• Displaying goods following bakery department and/or merchandising guidelines.
• Helping decorators with personalization of cakes and icing of cakes, donuts, sweet rolls and etc.
• All other related duties as assigned
