Job description

Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates to ensure optimal customer experiences, oversee store operations effectively, and maintain brand standards. They develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined responsibilities and are responsible for primary duties when the Store Manager is absent.

Primary Duties

  1. 30% Brand : Provides supervision and supports the direction & planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Focuses on in-store selling and Omni-channel strategies. Ensures brand standards are met, such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Acts as the main contact for resolving customer issues and concerns. Analyzes store trends to anticipate customer demands.
  2. 30% People : Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results. Utilizes internal hiring platforms and actively recruits to build a strong network of external candidates. Identifies individual strengths and opportunities, providing coaching or counseling as needed. Maintains positive associate relations, resolves concerns, and communicates relevant company information. Builds strong relationships with peers and fosters an inclusive environment.
  3. 30% Operations : Ensures execution of company processes through training, management, and continuous improvement. Supports digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment. Manages inventory, payroll, store opening and closing procedures, and ensures timely completion of directives and projects.
  4. 10% Safety / Loss Prevention : Maintains a safe environment for staff and customers, enforcing policies and procedures. Protects assets by following inventory and cash control procedures, analyzing reports, and ensuring compliance with HAZMAT training.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Preferred 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
  • Preferred 1+ year management experience
  • Ability to lead and support teams to meet objectives
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexible scheduling availability
  • Cosmetology license desirable but not required

Additional qualities include a passion for learning, adaptability, talent development, team building, customer focus, results orientation, strategic thinking, and the ability to analyze and make sound decisions.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
