Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead a stripping crew in a heavy industrial setting at our West Virginia quarry operations. You will direct daily activities, ensure safe and efficient production, and enforce safety policies across the crew.

The role requires strong ability to organize work, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing operational needs while coordinating with quarry leadership to meet targets and standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate crews in a heavy industrial, mining, quarry, or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of safe operating practices for mobile equipment and earthmoving activities.
• Proven ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and make sound operational decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and accountability.
• Capability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt to changing operational needs.

What You'll Be Doing

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
