Webster Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for the position of 0.5 Innovative Pathway and 0.5 Innovative Career Pathway Coordinator at Bartlett High School. Candidates must hold a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education License.
Position Overview: This position is a .5 Innovative Pathway Teacher / .5 Innovative Career Pathway Coordinator. The Innovation Career Pathway Teacher/Coordinator will provide instruction and coordinate the implementation and continuous improvement of an Innovation Career Pathway program that connects students with relevant academic, career, post-secondary success. Working collaboratively with school and district leaders, educators, employers, higher education institutions, workforce-development organizations, and community partners, the Coordinator will expand high-quality career pathways that provide students with authentic learning experiences, industry exposure, work-based learning, and opportunities to earn relevant credentials or college credit. This position requires a strong blend of administrative, educational, and managerial skills, with a primary focus on student development, certification coordination, and building community partnerships.

- MA Educator’s Licensure required in Engineering/Technology and/or Science/Biology
- Experience working in education, career readiness, workforce development, business/industry partnerships, or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, employers, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations.
- Commitment to equity, access, and college and career readiness for all students.
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in education, counseling, workforce development, business, or a related field.
- Experience with Massachusetts DESE programs or initiatives.
- Experience developing career pathways, internships, apprenticeships, work-based learning, or early college programs.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts labor-market information and regional workforce-development priorities.
- Experience writing or managing grants.
- Experience working with employers and industry partners.
- Knowledge of career and technical education, competency-based education, or project-based learning.
- Working Conditions: The position requires regular interaction with students, families, educators, employers, higher education representatives, and community partners. The Coordinator may be required to travel between schools, businesses, colleges, community organizations, and other partner sites within the region. Some evenings may be required to support career fairs, family engagement activities, employer events, student showcases, and other pathway-related programming.
- Key Responsibilities: Instruction Teach courses aligned with the Innovation Career Pathway and Massachusetts curriculum and program expectations. Career Pathway Development Design, develop, implement, and evaluate innovative career pathways aligned with student interests, regional workforce needs, and postsecondary opportunities. Identify emerging career fields and develop programs that prepare students for high-demand and high-growth industries. Coordinate pathway development across academic, technical, and career-focused programs. Support the integration of rigorous academics with career-connected learning. Develop and maintain clear student pathways from middle/high school through postsecondary education, training, and employment. Industry & Community Partnerships Build and maintain strong partnerships with local and regional employers, chambers of commerce, workforce-development organizations, colleges and universities, and community-based organizations. Develop opportunities for internships, job shadows, apprenticeships, mentoring, career speakers, site visits, and other work-based learning experiences. Engage employers in curriculum development and program evaluation to ensure pathways reflect current industry expectations. Serve as a primary liaison between the school/district and external career pathway partners. Student Career Readiness Support students in exploring careers, identifying interests and strengths, and developing individualized postsecondary plans. Expand access to internships, dual enrollment, industry-recognized credentials, career certifications, and other early college/career opportunities. Promote equitable access to career pathways for students from historically underserved and underrepresented groups. Coordinate career exploration and work-based learning opportunities across grade levels. Help students develop essential employability skills, including communication, collaboration, problem-solving, professionalism, and career management. Massachusetts Career Education Alignment Ensure career pathway programs align with applicable Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) expectations, frameworks, initiatives, and graduation/postsecondary readiness priorities. Support alignment with Massachusetts Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE), Innovation Pathways, Early College, and related career-connected learning initiatives, as applicable to the district. Monitor state and federal funding opportunities and assist with grant development and implementation. Maintain appropriate documentation, program data, and reporting related to pathway participation and outcomes. Program Management & Continuous Improvement Establish measurable goals and outcomes for career pathway programs. Collect and analyze student participation, completion, credential attainment, postsecondary enrollment, employment, and other relevant outcome data. Use data and stakeholder feedback to identify areas for program improvement. Coordinate schedules, events, partnerships, resources, and logistics necessary to operate pathway programs effectively. Develop presentations, reports, promotional materials, and communications for students, families, staff, community partners, and district leadership. Assist with securing funding, equipment, technology, and other resources needed to expand innovative career opportunities.
- Pay scale salary is based on years of experience. At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Master degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
