Are you passionate about the intersection of data science and the energy sector? We are on the lookout for a talented Data Scientist/Junior Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge projects in energy generation, trading, and derivatives. If you thrive on developing quantitative solutions, building decision support systems, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, this opportunity is for you!

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field with a focus on applied statistics, AI, machine learning
• At least 1-2 years experience on related fields
• Hands on experience with data science projects — from requirement specification till deploying, maintaining, and improving production-ready solutions
• Hands on experience on real-world optimization problems and ability to develop large optimization algorithms or heuristics to solve these problems
• Hands on experience in scripting languages Python and R
• Experience of coding in optimization tools as XPRESS, CPLEX or GUROBI or optimization focused Python libraries as xpress, pulp, pyomo
• Experience with machine learning models
• Experience on data consumption methods (SQL, API, Azure Service Bus)
• Experience with cloud environment is a plus
• Experience with DevOps tools (GitHub, Docker) is a plus
• Knowledge of Turkish energy sector is a plus
• Fluent in English

• Developing quantitative solutions centered around energy generation, trading, and derivatives
• Developing statistical forecasting models, simulation tools, optimization algorithms and mathematical models for stochastic processes
• Building decision support systems from scratch
• Performing fundamental data analysis and data visualization
• Performance tracking and maintaining the existing products
• Collaborating with backend, frontend, data engineering, product and business teams for model development and implementation by regarding the secure software development cycle
