Job summary

Garanti BBVA Teknoloji is seeking experienced specialists for Z and Gen Application Architecture. The team focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing MAINFRAME and GEN-based solutions, emphasizing architecture standards and reusable patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of application development on Z (Mainframe) and/or GEN (CoolGen) platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Mainframe technologies: COBOL, PL/I, CICS, Batch, MQ.
• Experience with DB2 and SQL.
• Knowledge of GEN architecture and development standards for GEN/Mainframe.
• Understanding of SDLC practices and continuous improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining architectural principles and templates for GEN/Mainframe apps.
• Defining integration patterns and performance optimization for GEN/Mainframe.
• Supporting DevOps to optimize SDLC and CI/CD for GEN/Mainframe.
• Providing technical support to development teams and preparing architecture docs.
• Creating training materials and delivering internal sessions as needed.
