Job summary

Avolta is seeking an experienced Logistic & Warehouse Manager to lead Türkiye Duty Free's import, customs clearance, warehouse and inventory control, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

You will partner with Supply Chain and other stakeholders to maintain inventory integrity, manage logistics providers, and drive continuous improvements while building a high-performing team in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, customs operations or supply chain

• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics, customs and warehouse operations across Türkiye Duty Free business.
• Ensure full compliance with Turkish Customs Legislation, Duty Free regulations, warehouse requirements, airport regulations and all applicable legal obligations.
• Manage the physical flow of products from regional distribution center and supplier warehouses to Türkiye warehouses and stores.
• Oversee all import operations, ensuring accurate and timely coordination of transportation, customs clearance, receiving and warehouse activities.
• Lead the customs and logistics team responsible for customs declarations, import documentation, customs transactions, inventory movements and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure customs declarations and all related documentation are prepared accurately and submitted in accordance with legal requirements and timelines.
• Act as the primary business owner for customs compliance and ensure all logistics and warehouse activities are performed in full alignment with customs regulations and internal control standards.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Customs Authorities, Airport Authorities, customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics service providers and other external stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory changes and proactively implement updates impacting customs, warehouse and logistics operations.
• Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, stock integrity, traceability and compliance with customs requirements.
• Ensure all inventory movements, transfers, adjustments, stock reconciliations and warehouse transactions are executed in accordance with legal requirements and company procedures.
• Partner closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure inbound logistics activities support inventory plans, business priorities and operational requirements.
• Manage transportation providers, customs brokers and logistics partners to ensure service excellence, cost efficiency and operational reliability.
• Lead customs audits, inventory counts, stock reconciliations and internal audits while ensuring full transparency, accuracy and compliance.
• Identify operational and regulatory risks within logistics, warehouse and customs activities and develop preventive actions to protect business continuity.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve logistics, warehouse and customs procedures to enhance operational efficiency, service levels and compliance standards.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing logistics, warehouse and customs team, fostering a culture of accountability, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, warehouse security requirements and company policies across all logistics and warehouse operations.

We are looking for a experienced candidate to join our team as a Logistic & Warehouse Manager. This position is based at İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To lead and manage all logistics, customs, warehouse and inventory control operations for Türkiye Duty Free business, ensuring full compliance with Turkish Customs Legislation, duty free regulations, airport requirements, and company standards. This role is responsible for the seamless execution of import, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory management and distribution activities from regional distribution center and supplier warehouses to Türkiye operations. Working closely with Supply Chain and other key stakeholders, the position ensures operational continuity, inventory integrity, regulatory compliance and efficient product flow throughout the business.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, customs operations, import processes or supply chain-related functions, preferably within retail, travel retail, duty free or FMCG environments.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish Customs Legislation, import procedures, customs declaration processes and warehouse operations.
• Proven experience in managing customs compliance, import documentation and international logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control and warehouse processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop and motivate teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and coordination skills.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications.
