Job summary

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Star Venture in Türkiye seeks an Associate to source startups, deliver advisory services, and build links with investors, accelerators and ecosystem stakeholders, under the guidance of the Principal Manager.

The Associate will perform due diligence, develop a high-quality pipeline, coordinate with banking and policy teams, and report progress to HQ and donors. Travel within Türkiye and internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English both written and verbal; local language knowledge is essential.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in related sectors.
• Experience with SMEs and start-ups, assessing business models and growth potential.
• Experience in multi-stakeholder environments with senior partners and networks.
• Knowledge of SME support organisations, financial sector participants and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Understanding of venture finance, investment readiness and startup ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Star Venture activities in Türkiye and related ASB tasks.
• Identify SME and startup advisory needs and coordinate donor/partner involvement.
• Monitor portfolio and report progress to HQ and donors.
• Develop a high-quality pipeline of startups and advisory projects.
• Collaborate with banking, policy and sector teams and external partners.
