Job summary

EBRD is seeking an Associate to lead and contribute to Star Venture in Türkiye. You will source startups, deliver tailored advisory and ecosystem‑building activities, and build links with investors, accelerators and other ecosystem stakeholders.

Under guidance of the Principal Manager, you will develop a high‑quality startup and advisory pipeline, conduct due diligence, and coordinate outreach, ensuring alignment with Star Venture and SME F&D priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• Understanding of startup growth, venture finance and AI/trends for early‑stage companies.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Effective communication, presentation and negotiation with SME clients and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; Turkish language essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Star Venture in Türkiye, sourcing startups and coordinating advisory projects.
• Due diligence aligned with Star Venture priorities and donor commitments.
• Develop SME/startup advisory and investment readiness support.
• Coordinate with banking, policy and sector teams; liaise with external partners.
• Prepare internal and donor reports on progress, KPIs and funding utilization.
• Promote ASB and donors through marketing and visibility activities.
