Job summary

Lidya Madencilik seeks a Technical Services Manager to lead process design, plant optimization, and technical service activities across mining and processing operations. The role requires strong experience in mineral processing, PFDs/P&IDs, and metallurgical test work.

The candidate will drive feasibility studies, supervise field deployments, ensure safety/compliance, and push continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve recoveries. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Processing.
• 10+ years in mineral processing and plant design/operation.
• Experience with PFD, P&ID, mass balance, and equipment sizing.
• Proficient in process simulation software.
• Strong KPI tracking and data analytics skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites.
• Familiarity with OHS and environmental regs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify PFDs and P&IDs for investments or capacity expansions.
• Plan and report ore characterization and metallurgical test work.
• Prepare specs for main process equipment and lead equipment selection.
• Conduct site visits to ensure field design implementation.
• Provide hands-on field leadership during installation, commissioning and ramp-up.
• Coordinate field technical service with the central engineering group.
• Monitor plant KPIs and analyze bottlenecks, recovery, and reagent use.
• Verify metallurgical accounting and perform loss analyses.
• Design and implement continuous improvement projects to cut costs.
• Lead root cause analyses for bottlenecks and wear.
• Develop action plans for plant-specific technical problems and track field results.

Job description

Lidya Madencilik is seeking a Technical Services Manager to join its growing team.

This role is designed for an experienced mineral processing professional who will take ownership of process design, plant optimization, and technical service activities across our mining and processing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Processing Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mineral processing (crushing-screening, grinding, flotation, leaching, etc.) and in the operation and/or design of hydrometallurgical/pyrometallurgical plants for metallic ores.
• Command of process flow diagrams (PFD), mass-balance calculations, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and equipment sizing/selection processes.
• Proficiency in the use of process simulation software.
• Competency in KPI tracking (grade, recovery, reagent consumption, downtime) and process data analytics.
• Adaptability to demanding field working conditions and site/plant travel schedules.
• Command of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and environmental regulations in mining and process plants.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Preparing/verifying Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and P&IDs for new investments or capacity expansions.
• Planning, managing, and reporting ore characterization and metallurgical test work (feasibility/pre-feasibility).
• Preparing technical specifications for main process equipment (mills, flotation cells, crushers, etc.) and conducting equipment selection processes.
• Carrying out regular site visits and inspections to ensure the design is correctly implemented in the field.
• Providing hands-on field leadership during installation, commissioning, and ramp-up phases.
• Ensuring coordination between field technical service teams and the central engineering group.
• Monitoring the daily, weekly, and monthly operational KPIs of the plants (bottleneck identification, recovery rates, reagent/chemical consumption).
• Verifying metallurgical accounting calculations and performing loss analyses.
• Designing and implementing Continuous Improvement projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency and reducing unit production costs.
• Conducting root cause analyses through on-site intervention in plant bottlenecks, low recovery rates, or equipment wear.
• Developing action plans for plant-specific technical problems and following up on their field implementation.
