Öneriver, a technology partner for financial institutions, is seeking a Technical Product Manager with 3–5 years of experience to join our mobile product team. This role blends product thinking with engineering discipline to deliver practical, client-focused solutions.

You will own mobile product technicals, describe API flows, work with engineering squads, and engage directly with clients to turn complex problems into clear requirements and actionable stories.

At Öneriver, we build technology products for financial institutions and help our clients create better digital experiences.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with 3–5 years of experience to join our mobile product team.

This is not a traditional Product Manager role. We are looking for someone with a strong engineering background who can understand both the product and technical sides of a problem, work closely with engineering teams and engage directly with clients when needed.

The role will also include some aspects of the Forward Deployed Engineer approach: understanding real client problems, going deeper into technical details and helping teams turn those problems into practical solutions.

What You Will Do

• Own the technical product management of our mobile products.
• Understand business and client needs and turn them into clear technical requirements.
• Work closely with mobile, backend, frontend, DevOps, QA and other engineering teams.
• Contribute to the design of APIs, integrations, authentication flows and system-to-system data flows.
• Understand how mobile applications interact with backend services and third-party systems.
• Investigate technical issues by reviewing API requests/responses, logs, error messages and system behavior.
• Work directly with clients and their technical teams when needed.
• Understand client-specific problems and identify solutions that can become part of the core product.
• Create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, API flows, sequence diagrams and other technical documentation.
• Manage priorities between product roadmap, client needs, technical improvements and technical debt.
• Follow features from analysis and development through testing and production.
• Follow new technologies and use AI-assisted development and product tools where they can improve the way we work.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software development, technical product management, solution engineering or a similar role.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, authentication, authorization and system integrations.
• Basic knowledge of mobile application architecture and mobile-backend communication.
• Ability to work with SQL and relational databases for basic analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience with tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Ability to read logs and investigate technical problems.
• Ability to create and understand sequence diagrams and system flows.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Good command of English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with iOS or Android development.
• Understanding of microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, SSE or WebSocket.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD, containers and cloud-native development.
• Experience in fintech, banking, investment or capital markets.
• Experience with B2B or enterprise products and client integrations.
• Experience investigating production issues.
• Experience using AI coding tools and LLM-based development tools.

Who Will Be Successful in This Role?

We are looking for someone who does more than forward a technical problem to the engineering team.

When a client says, "This feature is not working in the mobile app," we expect you to start asking questions such as:

Which API is being called? What does the request look like? What is the response? Is the issue related to authentication, backend services, integration or the mobile application?

You don't need to be the person who writes every line of code. But you should be comfortable going into technical details, asking the right questions and working with engineers to find the right solution.

In short, we are looking for someone who combines the product mindset of a Product Manager with the technical curiosity of an Engineer.
