Dgpays, a leading Turkish fintech, is seeking a Technical Product Owner to shape payment product strategy and drive delivery across engineering and design teams.

The role demands 7+ years in product management for payment solutions, fluency in English, and deep Agile experience, with a proven ability to translate complex API specifications into clear requirements for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• University degree in MIS, CS, or Engineering.
• 7+ years in product development/management for payment products (prepaid/debit cards, POS, ATM, etc.).
• Advanced or bilingual English proficiency.
• Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Experience reading and documenting REST/SOAP API specs.
• Ability to translate API/service info into clear docs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience creating use cases, workflows, and wireframes.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and roadmap with tech and design teams.
• Develop detailed feature specifications and ensure alignment across teams.
• Align Operations, Legal, Compliance around specs and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Plan and prioritize product backlog.
• Assess value, build business cases, and prioritize stories.
• Review API docs and communicate findings clearly to internal/external stakeholders.
• Bridge between technical teams and clients with business-friendly language.
• Mitigate blockers to sprint/release goals.
• Lead product release planning and set delivery expectations.
• Engage stakeholders to manage conflicting requests and maintain alignment.
• Prepare product and specification documentation.
• Monitor product performance and define metrics for backlog items.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is a must (Advanced or Bilingual proficiency),
• A university degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering (Computer, Electric, and Electronics, or Industrial Engineering),
• 7 or more years of experience in product development/management (with payment products such as prepaid/debit cards, POS, ATM, and/or public transportation solutions),
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies for project management,
• Proficiency with applicable project management tools and technologies,
• Experience in reading, interpreting, and documenting REST/SOAP API specifications
• Ability to translate technical API and service-level information into clear, actionable documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences,
• Experience in creating use case diagrams, use case documents, workflows, meeting minutes, storyboards, and wireframes,
• Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management skills,
• Ability to communicate both strategic vision and specific details effectively to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual project members,
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills,
• Creative problem-solving skills with a deep curiosity about the business and products,

Job Description

• Define product vision and roadmap and drive the delivery of the roadmap in collaboration with tech and design teams,
• Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they are clearly understood by relevant teams,
• Align relevant teams, including Operations, Legal, and Compliance etc. around the product specifications to be developed and ensure that product specifications comply with applicable regulations and company product strategy,
• Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog,
• Assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to alignment with the product strategy,
• Review and interpret API documentation and technical specifications; communicate findings clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders,
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and clients by translating service-level details into business-friendly language,
• Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals,
• Lead the product release planning and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities,
• Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage conflicting requests and ensure continuous alignment on priorities,
• Prepare product and product specification documentation,
• Responsible for product performance monitoring and assigning metrics (Embodies expected benefit of each product backlog items with metrics),
• Monitor and periodically report product's pain points and make suggestions about points of improvement.
