Job summary

EY is seeking Seniors to join the Global Payroll Operate Team in Istanbul. You will manage end-to-end payroll calculations, ensure compliance, and support transitions for diverse clients in Turkey.

Ideal candidates have a university degree in Accounting and Finance or Business Administration, at least four years of payroll experience, and strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills, with fluent English and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting and Finance or Business Administration.
• Deep knowledge of payroll calculations and end-to-end payroll processes (min 4 years).
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills with experience in reporting.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to work as a team player and adapt to flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payroll delivery timelines, service quality, and compliance requirements.
• Support payroll transition, implementation, and transformation projects.
• Prepare monthly salary calculations and payrolls of employees.
• Prepare accounting records of monthly payroll expenses according to cost centers.
• Prepare salary payment information in the format requested by banks.
• Prepare monthly payroll summaries and reports.
• Track annual leave and calculate leave provisions.
• Calculate severance pay provisions according to Turkish and IFRS standards.
• Prepare and submit monthly withholding income tax and SSI declarations.
• Calculate severance and notice pay for employees leaving.
• Inform clients about changes in Labor Law, Social Security Law, and Income Tax Law.
• Assist clients in creating personal files of employees.
• Complete registration/deregistration via SSI portals.

EY’s Integrated Global Payroll Solutions (IGPS) transforms global payrolls through a unified managed services approach, integrating domestic, mobile, and global payroll services.

EY Global Payroll Operate proffessionals manage and support the entire payroll process, encompassing data collection, preparation, source-to-gross calculations, statutory reporting, preparing general ledger (G/L) files, payment processing and employee communication.

We are seeking for Seniors to join our Global Payroll Operate Team in İstanbul with the following qualifications;

Your key responsibilities

• Monitoring payroll delivery timelines, service quality, and compliance requirements
• Supporting payroll transition, implementation, and transformation projects
• Preparation and control of monthly salary calculations and payrolls of employees
• Preparation of accounting records of monthly payroll expenses according to estimated cost centers,
• Preparation of salary payment information in the format requested by banks
• Preparation of monthly payroll summary and reports
• Annual leave tracking, calculation of leave provisions
• Calculation of severance pay provision in accordance with Turkish and International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS)
• Preparation and submission of monthly withholding income tax and premium declarations, SSI declarations
• Calculation of severance and notice pay for those leaving the job
• Informing clients about changes in the Labor Law, Social Security Law and Income Tax Law that will affect monthly payroll calculations
• Supporting clients on creation of personal files of the employees
• Completion of registration/deregistration processes of the employees via SSI portals.

What we look for

• University degree, preferably in Accounting and Finance or Business Administration,Labor Economics and Industrial Relations
• Deep knowledge on Payroll calculations end to end payroll processes (minimum 4 years of experience)
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills and experienced in reporting
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Proven originator and team player
• Ability to work with flexible working hours
