Job summary

EY in Ankara is seeking a Senior Consultant to join the Business Consulting team. You will lead work streams, conduct quantitative research and support policy analysis engagements for public sector clients, with a focus on economic development and sustainability.

This role requires strong reports, Turkish and English communication, and the ability to manage teams and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration across offices and client sites is common.

Qualifications

• A relevant university degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Political Science, Business Administration or similar.
• A relevant master’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills in English and Turkish.
• Strong research, data analysis and quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead work streams and formulate high-quality, insightful solutions for clients.
• Conduct complex quantitative research and analytic studies to support evidence-based policy making.
• Convey understanding of economic policy issues in development, competitiveness, and sustainability.
• Improve processes and utilize methodologies, tools, and technologies to increase efficiency.
• Be responsible for parts of final deliverables for clients.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders for engagements and proposals.
• Contribute to workshops, presentations and training at client premises and within the team.
• Identify risks with the project manager and propose preventive actions.
• Support client relationship management and coach junior professionals.
• Conduct market research and identify opportunities on existing engagements.

We are seeking for a “Senior Consultant” to join our Business Consulting team in Ankara with the following qualifications.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead work streams, formulate high-quality, insightful and sustainable solutions to help clients accelerate business growth and streamline their operations
• Conduct highly complex quantitative research and analytic studies at various policy domains to support evidence-based policy making engagements.
• Conveying a good grasp of economic policy issues in the areas of economic development, competitiveness, foreign economic relations, and sustainability.
• Ensure work efficiency during all engagements by continuously improving processes, utilizing methodologies, tools, and technologies
• Be responsible for parts of the final deliverables for clients
• Liaising with various clients and stakeholders for potential and ongoing engagements
• Contribute to the preparation and facilitation of workshops, presentations, and training at client premises and within the team
• Work closely with the project manager, identify, and elevate potential risks and issues to project manager along with suggested preventive or mitigating actions
• Contribute to a strong client relationship through effective management of interactions with client personnel
• Supervise and coach junior professionals, help people enhance their contribution and develop their capabilities
• Conduct market research, contribute to the development of proposals, identify and upscale potential business opportunities on existing engagements

What we look for

• A relevant university degree, preferably in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Political Science, Business Administration or a similar discipline from a reputable university
• A relevant master’s degree is a plus
• At least 3 years of professional experience in management and strategy consulting studies conducted for public sector clients in the following fields: policy analysis and design, impact evaluation and assessment, economic research and analysis, market assessment and analysis, and etc.)
• Specific experience in working with central and local government entities and/or IFI players
• Strong research and data analysis skills (both qualitative and quantitative)
• Strong analytical and statistical skills
• Specific experience in team management
• Excellent report writing skills (both in English and in Turkish)
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills (both in Turkish and in English)
• Demonstrated interest in analytics
• Coding and programming skills are plus (Stata, R, Python, SPSS, Matlab...)
• Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills along with intellectual curiosity
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, often changing environment
• Self-motivated, ability to work with deadlines
• Strong client and relationship-building skills
• No travel restrictions inland or abroad
