Job summary

Kastamonu Entegre Headquarters in Istanbul is seeking a System Support Senior Specialist for our IT Team. The role is based in Altunizade and focuses on managing Linux/Windows servers, security, and automation to support enterprise infrastructure.

You will work across virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, KVM), cloud familiarity, and monitoring tools to ensure reliability. A minimum of 5 years of Linux system administration experience is required; RHCSA/RHCE or similar certifications are

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Linux System Administration experience.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale infrastructure and virtualization environments.
• Experience with at least one enterprise virtualization platform (VMware, Proxmox, KVM, Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting of complex infrastructure issues in on-premises, hybrid-cloud or cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and security of Linux and Windows-based server environments.
• Monitor system performance, capacity planning, troubleshoot, and implement optimization initiatives.
• Administer user access management, identity integration, and security policies per corporate standards.
• Plan, implement, and maintain backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BCP) solutions.
• Develop automation and operational efficiency using scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Go).
• Perform administration for web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Utilize monitoring/observability platforms (Zabbix, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure health and availability.
• Deploy, configure, and manage virtualization platforms/clusters in enterprise environments.
• Evaluate and support virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Proxmox VE, KVM/QEMU).
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver scalable IT solutions.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, RHEL, etc.)
• Proficiency in Linux shell (Bash) scripting
• Hands‑on experience with system administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Understanding of networking and security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewall).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment
• Military service must be completed for male candidates

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Perl, PowerShell, Ruby, Go)
• Familiarity with containerization and automation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox, KVM)
• Experience in backup, disaster recovery, and security policy implementation
• Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR/KVKK)
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, LPI, or similar

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Linux System Administration experience
• Proven experience managing enterprise‑scale infrastructure and virtualization environments
• Experience with at least one enterprise virtualization platform (VMware, Proxmox, KVM, Hyper‑V, Nutanix, etc.)
• Strong track record in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and maintaining business‑critical environments
• Experience working in on‑premises, hybrid‑cloud, or cloud‑native environments is highly desirable
