Placemaking AI is seeking Strategy Analyst Interns to join the Strategy and Customer Delivery Team. You will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, manual data collection, and project development within location intelligence and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities include collecting and cleaning datasets, using AI tools to accelerate research, developing project methodologies, and preparing client reports.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Business, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, City/Regional Planning or related field.
• Fluent with AI tools and LLMs (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in daily workflow.
• Basic proficiency in data tools like Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position Summary:

We're looking for enthusiastic interns to support our Strategy and Customer Delivery Team. This internship offers hands-on experience in data analysis, manual data collection, and project development in the fast-growing field of location intelligence with AI woven into how we work every day.

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree (preferred) in Business, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, City and Regional Planning, Urban Studies, or a related field. Exceptional final-year Bachelor's candidates will also be considered.
• AI tools are second nature to you. You use LLMs (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) in your daily workflow and have built or prototyped something useful with them; even on free-tier credits. We're not looking for an ML engineer; we're looking for someone fluent, curious, and resourceful with AI.
• Basic proficiency in data tools like Excel.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• A keen interest in data-driven decision-making and strategy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Our Hiring Process:

• Application Review: We'll screen all applications against the qualifications above and shortlist candidates who are the strongest fit.
• Screening Interview (15 min): Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a short introductory call to talk through the role and get to know each other.
• Paid Trial Task: If it's a mutual fit, we'll send a short, compensated task designed around real responsibilities of the role; so you get a genuine feel for the work, and we get to see how you think. Payment is processed within 15 business days of submission.
• Final Interview: Top candidates from the trial task move to a longer, more open-ended conversation with the team to align on expectations and fit.
