• Deep knowledge about the cost drivers in purchasing
• Very good knowledge of production process of purchased products
• Economic and financial knowledge
• Very strong negotiation skills and high decisiveness
• Strong interest in home furnishing products
• Active driving license cat. B
• Be passionate in leading business and people
• Be open and feel good in constantly changing work environment
• Be ready to work with many tasks at the same time
• Have drive and be full of energy; understand that time is money

Responsibilities

• Building/maintaining effective relations with suppliers
• Leading the business agenda
• Co-operation with suppliers from project phase to ready products delivered to IKEA stores
• Negotiations with IKEA suppliers to reach best purchase conditions (price, lead time, volumes)
• Set goals with each supplier and create action plans to realize full potential
• Evaluate and develop existing production capacities
• Support and develop Purchase Team
• Contribute to product development
• Optimize purchasing possibilities
• Build professional long-term business development
• Position requires travelling up to 50% of working time
