Job summary

AKSA Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş. in Yalova seeks a Solvent Executive with chemical engineering expertise to join the Chemical Production Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Advanced level of English proficiency.
• Knowledge and experience in Process Safety applications.
• Experience in solvent recovery, distillation, chemical processes, or continuous manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee the operational activities of the Solvent Recovery Unit to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Monitor production performance in terms of efficiency, quality, safety, and environmental objectives; drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure sustainability of process parameters within operating conditions and optimize overall process performance.
• Lead implementation of process safety practices, coordinate risk assessments, and drive improvements.
• Manage safe shutdown and emergency evacuation procedures during emergencies.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned shutdowns; plan workforce, equipment, and resources accordingly.
• Monitor energy use and process performance; lead projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Regularly monitor unit performance, report results to senior management, and develop action plans.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration between Production, Maintenance, Quality, Environment, and Safety.

Having a capacity of 330.000 tons per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.

We are seeking a Solvent Executive with experience in chemical engineering skills to join our Chemical Production Department.

Qualities we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering,

• Preferably experienced in solvent recovery, distillation processes, chemical processes, or continuous manufacturing environments,

Your main tasks are

• Plan, manage, and oversee the operational activities of the Solvent Recovery Unit to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production in line with manufacturing targets.
• Monitor production performance in terms of efficiency, quality, occupational health & safety, and environmental objectives, while leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the sustainability of process parameters within established operating conditions and optimize overall process performance across chemical production units.
• Drive the effective implementation of process safety practices, coordinate risk assessment activities, and lead improvement initiatives.
• Manage safe shutdown and emergency evacuation processes in accordance with established procedures during emergency situations.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned shutdowns while ensuring effective workforce, equipment, and resource planning.
• Monitor energy consumption and process performance, and lead projects aimed at increasing efficiency and optimizing costs.
• Regularly monitor unit performance, report results to senior management, and develop action plans to achieve strategic objectives.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration by ensuring effective coordination between Production, Maintenance, Quality, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, and other support functions.
