Job summary

Etstur, Türkiye’s leading travel and tourism company, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer who owns product quality, performs manual testing, and helps advance automation and AI-powered quality approaches.

You will design and execute test plans for web, mobile, and API-based apps, collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and Business Analysts in Agile teams, and continuously improve testing coverage and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC and quality assurance processes.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing of web, mobile and API-based applications.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases and regression test suites.
• Knowledge of backend testing tools such as Postman, Swagger or similar platforms.
• Experience using Jira and test management tools.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration abilities and strong problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
• For male candidates completion of military service or minimum 2 years of postponed.
• Living in Istanbul due to hybrid working. Preferably on the Anatolian side.
• Nice to Have: Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium.
• Nice to Have: Interest in AI-powered test generation and autonomous testing.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality assurance process for the products under your responsibility.
• Design, create, maintain and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, user acceptance and exploratory testing activities.
• Conduct end-to-end testing for web, mobile and backend applications.
• Validate newly developed features and ensure release readiness.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers and Business Analysts to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Support automation initiatives and collaborate with the Test Automation team.
• Continuously improve test coverage, testing efficiency and quality standards.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance testing effectiveness and productivity.
• Research and evaluate emerging testing technologies, including autonomous testing and AI-assisted quality engineering solutions.
• Share product knowledge, quality insights and improvement recommendations with the team.

About the Role
