Job summary

Aramco is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer for Utilities within the Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD) under Global Manufacturing excellence. The role focuses on monitoring, optimizing, and driving performance improvements for Utilities across refineries and plants globally.

The successful candidate will provide both remote and on-site technical advisory, develop benchmarking reports, and lead cost-optimization initiatives, leveraging decades of refinery utilities experience

Qualifications

• 15+ years of total Utilities unit experience (process engineering and operations).
• At least 10 years hands-on experience in handling refinery utilities.
• Experience in water desalination and boilers for steam generation.
• Strong data analysis and visualization skills for Utilities performance metrics.
• Knowledge of major equipment suppliers and package units for Utilities.
• Proven troubleshooting, start-up/shutdown and capacity test run experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular performance reviews of Utilities and track KPI-based operability, profitability, reliability and safety.
• Develop and present quarterly benchmarking reports with actionable recommendations.
• Provide hands-on support to implement performance improvements and close gaps.
• Lead global benchmarking workshops and knowledge sharing across facilities.
• Deliver remote and on-site technical advisory including design, start-up/shutdown and tests.
• Prepare detailed service reports with actions, results and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with facilities engineers to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate Global Manufacturing and Corporate programs for Utilities rollout and monitoring.
• Participate in capital investment discussions and techno-economic evaluations.
