Job summary

Stantec is seeking a senior urban drainage modeller to contribute to major programmes in the UK. You will lead technical delivery of drainage modelling projects, guide junior modellers, and collaborate with project managers to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.

Responsibilities include developing catchment strategies, mitigating development and climate impacts, and delivering robust data analytics using InfoWorks ICM and GIS.

Qualifications

• Education: degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related STEM field.
• Professional Status: Chartered engineer or working towards chartership.
• Experience: proven water sector experience with wastewater/stormwater modelling.
• Technical: strong capability with InfoWorks ICM and GIS tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of urban drainage modelling projects with robust models.
• Develop catchment strategies and engineered solutions to mitigate development and climate impacts.
• Provide daily technical guidance, instruction, and training to modellers.
• Coordinate day-to-day task allocation for small project teams to ensure delivery.
• Assist in preparing robust cost and time estimates for modelling work packages.
• Utilize InfoWorks ICM, GIS, and analytics tools for project outcomes.
• Plan, write and present technical reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain regular client and stakeholder communication during project delivery.
