Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Türkiye to lead scale and reliability across a distributed microservices architecture. You will architect and optimize infrastructure with Kubernetes, AWS, and RDS, while driving AI-enabled improvements and automation.

The role emphasizes autonomy, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to translate business goals into technical roadmaps. You will bring 6+ years of backend/SRE experience, deep Golang expertise, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

6+ years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience, including SRE and backend.
Recent production deployments within the last 30 days.
Strong Golang and RESTful API development experience.
Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and query optimization at scale.
Proficient in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
Knowledge of distributed systems design patterns.
Experience with AI tools like Claude or equivalents.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS (MySQL/Postgres).
Help drive the infrastructure roadmap and reliability improvements.
Drive capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing for growth.
Define, maintain and enforce SLAs and alerts across infrastructure.
Lead signal anomaly detection and flexible alerting.
Help lead Sezzle’s AI enablement efforts to enhance reliability and productivity.
Build and scale a distributed microservices architecture with strong observability.
Establish and evolve engineering best practices for CI/CD and security.
