Job summary

Avenga seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design and operate secure, high-performing infrastructure across CDN, WAF, DNS and edge security. You will drive automation, implement SRE best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reliability and security.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on Akamai Experience, Terraform/IaC proficiency and strong CI/CD, GitOps, Kubernetes skills in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.

At the core of the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong hands-on experience in Akamai and platform engineering. You’ll focus on building and operating secure, reliable and high-performing infrastructure across CDN, WAF, DNS and edge security, while driving automation and SRE best practices.

You’ll work closely with development, infrastructure and security professionals to improve platform reliability, performance, security and operational efficiency.

Core skills you’ll bring

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and/or Platform Engineering


• Hands-on experience with Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS and Edge Security


• Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience


• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps and Kubernetes


• Experience with Azure and/or AWS


• Strong knowledge of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, monitoring and observability

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Akamai Property Manager, Application & API Protector, Bot Manager, EdgeWorkers or GTM


• Experience with Akamai APIs and platform automation


• Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets and capacity planning


• Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
