Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Istanbul, Türkiye is seeking a Senior RFIC Design Engineer for our RF Semiconductors team to develop RF beamformers, up-down converters, mixers, detectors, switches, and amplifiers for multiple markets.

You will work independently or with limited direction and contribute to product developments with strong RF fundamentals. The role emphasizes circuit design at transistor level, first-silicon characterization, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree required; MS preferred.
• 4+ years RF engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of S-parameters and RF networks.
• Cadence and ADS exposure; RF EM simulators advantageous.
• Tape-out experience and RF test characterization.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Position Overview

Analog Devices is looking for an intelligent and versatile Senior RFIC Design Engineer to work with our RF Semiconductors team, based in Istanbul, Turkey, who will be responsible for product developments such as RF Beamformers, Up-Down Converters, Mixers, Detectors, Switches, Attenuators, Filters, Phase Shifters, Amplifiers for various markets.

Context on the role

As a Senior RFIC Design Engineer, you are an experienced and fully competent engineer in your area. You’ll complete your role independently or working under limited direction. You’ll resolve problems of diverse scope using analysis and judgment within defined policies and practices, and you’ll communicate your work in a way that’s reflected in others’ work. You may also mentor and professionally influence the growth of more junior engineers.

Job Duties

• Integrated circuit design at transistor level for RF blocks
• Design evaluation, including first-silicon characterization and detailed analysis
• Design and development for RF products with various process and packaging technologies
• Problem resolution for issues requiring analysis of identifiable factors, developing approaches and recommendations within defined practices
• Project contributions and leadership, representing the organization on projects and, as needed, taking on a project leadership role
• Cross-functional communication, including effective group communication and frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts where required
• Documentation, preparing required documentation and reports for product development
• Mentorship, supporting the career growth and technical development of lower-level employees

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred; PhD a plus)
• Typically requires 4+ years relevant experience
• Solid understanding of S-parameters, transmission line theory, and RF networks
• Skills necessary to innovate, design, simulate, and verify circuit performance at the transistor level and behavioral/architectural level, with strong RF fundamentals
• Experience in circuit design environments such as Cadence and ADS
• Skills in electromagnetic simulators such as EMPro and/or HFSS (plus)
• Demonstrated IC tape-out experience is needed
• Experience in test equipment and RF characterization (plus)
• Motivated, results-oriented, and organized engineer with good writing, presentation, and overall communication skills
• Willingness and ability to learn something new quickly
• Comfortable taking calculated risks
• Bias for action and collaboration to deliver results
