Job summary

Exeltis Türkiye Çerkezköy Manufacturing and R&D facility is seeking a strategic R&D Formulation Senior Specialist to lead development and optimization of pharmaceutical formulations for new product projects. You will conduct pre-formulation, formulation, and compatibility studies and plan lab trials and scale-up batches.

You will work with various dosage forms, evaluate ingredients and processes, and support regulatory submissions (CMC) while collaborating with Analytical Development, Regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development or a similar R&D position.
• Experience with FDA-regulated product development and CMC documentation.
• Knowledge of GMP and regulatory documentation requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize pharmaceutical formulations for new product development projects.
• Conduct pre-formulation, formulation and compatibility studies.
• Plan, perform and document laboratory trials, scale up batches and submission batches.
• Work with different dosage forms, such as oral liquids and semi-solids.
• Evaluate and select suitable active ingredients, excipients, packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
• Support scale-up and validation activities from R&D to manufacturing sites.
• Prepare and review development reports, batch records and protocols.
• Review analytical, stability and manufacturing data and address issues.
• Contribute to projects intended for US market and ensure FDA-aligned development.
• Prepare CMC-related documentation for regulatory submissions when required.
• Collaborate with Analytical Development, Regulatory Affairs, QA, Production and other departments.
• Ensure R&D activities comply with GMP and internal procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
