Job summary

Solenis seeks an Associate Scientist for its Research & Development Department. The role provides technical support for daily activities and projects, serving as a partner to Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain.

You will perform analytical testing, develop formulations, and coordinate with global labs and field teams for performance testing. We value a chemistry background with up to 2 years of experience, strong English, and MS-Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from a reputable university.
• Master’s degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Up to 2 years experience in related area with chemical know-how.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry, testing and instrumentation preferred.
• Formulation knowledge will be an advantage.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• Proficient in MS-Office applications.
• Strong analytical and good communication skills.
• Customer focus with quality-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on lab tasks to support Solenis portfolio across multiple lines.
• Conduct product and raw material physical-chemical analyses according to project needs.
• Develop product formulations as per project requirements and prepare reports.

• Perform benchmark studies and reverse engineering of competitor products.
• Deliver profitability improvement projects through formulation and sourcing initiatives.
• Conduct literature research and day-to-day lab operations.

Job Description

We are now looking for an experienced "Associate Scientist" to be a member of our Research&Development Department. The R&D team is the Business Partner and first point of contact for Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain for all technical/R&D related activities. The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support in all day to day activities and projects.

Responsibilities Of The Ideal Candidate Will Include

• Perform hands on laboratory tasks to support all queries related to all Solenis portfolio: I&L, F&B, I&S – C&S.
• Performing product and raw material physical-chemical analysis according to project and customer needs
• Develop product formulations as per project requirements and make development reports
• Coordinate and collaborate with our application laboratories / formulators worldwide and the field application teams for the performance testing of formulations and other R&D activities
• Perform benchmark studies and reverse engineering to evaluate competitor products
• Deliver profitability improvement projects through formulation and supply/ sourcing & marketing initiatives
• Doing literature research
• Taking care of day to day lab operations and giving support in dealing with customer complaints
• Taking part in local and global projects, including lab work as well as liaising with other internal departments
• Being the point of contact for technical R&D support to sales and marketing departments
• Efficient and timely report generation
