Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer based in Turkey to own core product experiences end to end, combining product design judgment with design engineering skills for production-ready components.

The role sits at the intersection of product design, frontend engineering, design systems, and interaction design in a remote-first environment with high autonomy. You will build reusable primitives, contribute to an open-source component library, and work with AI tools to prototype

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a product designer who evolved into design engineering.
• Strong frontend skills with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.
• Ability to deliver production-ready frontend components independently.
• Experience designing custom UI components and primitives.
• Deep expertise in headless primitive composition with Base UI or Radix.
• Strong motion design and accessible design practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with web standards and browser primitives.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems.
• Strong written communication for asynchronous collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own core product surfaces from concept through production.
• Translate problems into high-quality designs, prototypes, and components.
• Build and test prototypes using AI-assisted tools like Claude Code, Cursor, v0.
• Deliver production-ready components for engineers.
• Maintain and evolve the shared design system and tokens.
• Collaborate with product and design leadership asynchronously.
• Ensure accessibility and proper interaction states.
