Job summary

Scrambly is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build the data platform behind the commercial side of the business. You will maintain pipelines turning raw events and advertiser feeds into trusted tables, size opportunities, set thresholds, and tell the business what the data says.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI development, or related role with pipelines in production.
• Strong SQL and solid analytical data modeling.
• Analytical judgement with ability to translate questions into measurable metrics and recommendations.
• GCP experience preferred: BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM; AWS/Azure acceptable with equivalent setup.
• Python for data work; familiarity with Git and code review; testing data is essential.
• Curiosity and comfort with unfamiliar systems; proactive and small-team collaboration.
• English at least B2+; written and spoken; international team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain analytical pipelines in Dataform on BigQuery from source data to tables used by teams.
• Analyse commercial questions using data and tune rules and thresholds for decisions.
• Take ownership of existing pipelines and ensure production reliability.
• Add testing, assertion, and alerting to data models to catch issues early.
• Manage warehouse cost and query performance; promote data best practices.
• Collaborate with Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, and commercial teams to drive impact.
