Job summary

Tanı seeks a Senior Middleware & Platform Engineer to ensure uninterrupted, secure, high‑performance operation of enterprise platforms. You will drive middleware, container platforms, observability, and automation to support production workloads.

The role requires strong experience with enterprise middleware, Linux/Windows platforms, and CI/CD tooling, plus excellent collaboration with DevOps and software teams. English documentation is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure HA/DR principles for middleware and application infrastructures.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Middleware & Platform Engineer who will ensure the uninterrupted, secure, and high-performance operation of enterprise application platforms, and take an active role in middleware, container platforms, observability, and operational processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system and application infrastructure management.
• Proven experience with enterprise middleware and application platforms.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and incident/crisis management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in English sufficient to prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Technical Competencies

• Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, performance management, and troubleshooting of Apache Tomcat and Microsoft IIS application servers.
• Experience in the installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Linux (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, etc.) and Windows Server platforms.
• Experience managing job scheduling tools such as Linux Cron, Windows Task Scheduler, Apache NiFi, and Apache Airflow.
• Ability to develop operational automation solutions using Bash/Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting applications running on Docker and Kubernetes platforms.
• Knowledge of the Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
• Ability to analyze application and system performance metrics, proactively identify potential issues, and take corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of application connectivity architectures involving Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Knowledge of JDBC, ODBC, Connection Pooling, and data access layer principles.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management, HTTPS configuration, and basic security standards.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Reverse Proxy, and Load Balancer architectures.
• Familiarity with load balancing solutions such as F5, NGINX, HAProxy, or similar technologies.
• Ability to analyze and resolve fundamental network-related issues.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools, with a solid understanding of pipeline processes.
• Experience in application lifecycle management, release management, maintenance activities, and planned deployment operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure middleware and application infrastructures are managed in accordance with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) principles.
• Conduct performance analyses of application servers, identify bottlenecks, and perform capacity planning activities.
• Manage maintenance, patching, and version upgrade processes for Linux and Windows Server platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Software Development and DevOps teams to support secure and sustainable application deployments to production environments.
• Respond to system outages and performance issues, and prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring, logging, and automation processes.
• Support application teams in performance optimization and capacity planning initiatives.
• Create, maintain, and regularly update technical documentation related to operational processes.
