Job summary

RINA is seeking a Türkiye Machinery Plan Approval Engineer to join the Istanbul office within the South Europe Marine Division. The role focuses on reviewing machinery plans for ships, offshore units and marine equipment to ensure compliance with rules and client requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in marine machinery design and approval, strong knowledge of propulsion systems, and fluency in Turkish and English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in marine machinery systems design, installation and approval.
• Experience reviewing and approving machinery plans for various vessel types.
• Knowledge of propulsion, auxiliary machinery, pumps, HVAC and fuel systems on ships.
• Fluent Turkish and proficient English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve machinery drawings for ships, offshore units and marine equipment per Class Rules and Regulations.
• Assist clients during design and construction phases with guidance on machinery-related matters.
• Support detailed marine engineering plan reviews in compliance with RINA rules and contracts.
• Resolve issues related to conflicting design requirements and material standards.
• Visit sites to take measurements and provide day-to-day project support and coordination.
