Job summary

RINA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for its Istanbul office in the Project Engineering Division. The role leads technical execution of complex projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities include technical feasibility, resource planning, risk management, and continuous improvement across design, safety, and integration activities, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Transport, or equivalent).
• 10+ years of experience in design engineering and leading multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with project controls (scheduling, budgeting, and risk management) and change management.
• PE preferred in US.
• Recognized expert in engineering disciplines; leads complex calculations, designs, and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and change control.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of the most complex and high-value projects, ensuring seamless integration of technical aspects.
• Provide strategic technical guidance and oversight of multidisciplinary teams, managing quality, compliance, and safety.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee technical delivery, align with milestones, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Coordinate system safety activities and ensure integration of safety arguments into the system safety case.
• Manage risk analyses (HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, FTA) and maintain the System Hazard Log.
• Collaborate with Discipline Manager on resource allocation and task reassignment.
