Job summary

RINA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Istanbul to lead the technical execution of complex, high-value projects within the Project Engineering Division. The role includes guiding multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and mentoring junior engineers.

The Senior Project Engineer will oversee technical delivery from proposal through execution, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement across projects. Fluency in Turkish and English is required.

Qualifications

10+ years in design engineering leading multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience with project controls (scheduling, budgeting, risk management).
Change management and ability to manage changes.
PE preferred in the US.
Expert in engineering disciplines and technical deliverables.
Understanding of ISO/ANSI/IEC standards and compliance.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is advantageous.
Fluent in Turkish and English.

Responsibilities

Lead technical feasibility assessment and resource planning for proposals.
Oversee technical delivery and ensure milestone alignment and quality.
Mentor junior engineers and foster collaboration with subcontractors.
Establish and enforce advanced quality control protocols and safety standards.
Identify and mitigate compliance and safety risks across projects.
Coordinate high-level technical reports and client presentations.
Provide training and mentorship to team members.
Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders and management.
Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned into planning.
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies with project management.
