Job summary

Innovance Consultancy seeks a hands-on Senior Java Developer in Istanbul for a hybrid role. You will design, develop, test, and review code, collaborating across peers, business analysts and SMEs to deliver robust integration solutions.

Required 5+ years of Java development with Java 8+, strong Spring experience, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Excellent problem solving and team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Java 8+.
• Strong experience with Spring framework (Boot, Security, Data) and related tools.
• Experience with Git and Maven.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL DBs, JPA and Hibernate.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, SOAP and XML.
• Able to solve problems with OO design and data structures.
• Clear communication with peers, BAs, and SMEs.
• Ownership mindset: meet deadlines, anticipate delays, raise issues.

Responsibilities

• Participate in systems design, code development, and unit testing.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, integration and testing of modifications and enhancements.
• Collaborate with team to deliver robust software solutions.

We are looking for hands‑on “Senior Java Developers” who love programming, architecting solutions, and solving complex integration problems. The job is hybrid, we expect the candidates to live in Istanbul. Join us if you possess the ability to work as a member of a highly skilled team in a dynamic environment and participate in systems design, code development, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, integration, and testing of modifications & enhancements.

What Are The Required Qualifications?

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master’s degree is a plus
• 5+ years of hands‑on Java development experience with Java 8+
• Strong experience with Spring framework using Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Session, and Spring Data
• Experience with Git, Maven
• Experience with Unit Test Frameworks
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL DB, JPA, and Hibernate
• Experience with RESTful API design, SOAP, and XML
• Ability to think creatively in problem‑solving, debugging, object‑oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Ability to clearly communicate with peers, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts
• Taking ownership of your work by meeting deadlines, foreseeing delays, and raising issues appropriately
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Microservices, Kubernetes, Spring Cloud, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Bitbucket, and Gradle is a plus
• Working knowledge of CI/CD technologies such as SonarQube and Jenkins is a plus
• Knowledge of cloud services such as Azure and AWS is a plus
• Experience in Agile Development methodologies is a plus (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
